ARVON WELLEN is a painter who also works with photography, he is also a printmaker who makes books using digital and photographic techniques as well as more traditional methods.
He is particularly interested in the way that we see ourselves, whether it is in magazine photgraphs, film and dreams. He is aware of the fragmentation that occurs and the contradictions that occur in life and in the way we would like to see ourselves. As part of this he is interested in the psychological effects of colour.

A great deal of my time is spent working with dancers. The photograph above was taken looking towards the jazz club in the Passeig in Cadaqués.
